Hotel de l'industrie

As a showcase and cradle for inventions, objects developed from scientific advances or promising French craft and industrial know-how, theHotel de l'Industrie is erected place Saint Germain des Présopposite the church of the same name.

This place is famous for having allowed to the Lumière brothers to present in 1895 their invention in the first screening, the founding act of the film industry.

L'Hotel de l'Industrie has been home to 1852the Société d'Encouragement pour l'Industrie Nationale founded by the three consuls, Bonaparte, Cambaceres and Lebrun in 1801.

Each year the Ceremony of the "Chaptal of Industry rehabilitating the image of the entrepreneur and the Montgolfier" ceremony to support emerging talent.

On a daily basis the Société d'Encouragement pour l'Industrie Nationale and theHotel de l'Industrie provides companies with ten rooms and lounges to receive, hold meetings, present their models, exhibit their productions and organise prestigious conferences.
