The jury for this new German-Pratin prize has shortlisted ten French novels. A second list will be published on 13 October, and the winner will be announced on 7 November at the private club in the rue Princesse.
The members of the Castel Prize jury and its co-founder Carole Chrétiennot met at Castel, a club on the rue Princesse in Paris, to draw up an initial selection of 10 novels for the September 2022 literary season. The second selection will be announced on 13 October.

A plaque in Castel's library
The winner will be honoured on 7 November at an evening event in the private club. The winner will receive a Castel membership card for one year. A plaque will also be engraved with the winner's name and placed in the library. The prize is worth €5,000.
The jury for this new prize is made up of Claire Berest, Vincent Darré, Étienne Gernelle, Lilia Hassaine, Eva Ionesco, Marc Lambron, Justine Lévy, Richard Malka, Tobie Nathan and Gaël Tchakaloff.
