Twinning with Huaihai Lu in Shanghai.

The Saint-Germain-des-Prés Committee welcomed to Saint-Germain-des-Prés the members of the delegation from Huaihai Lu (a district of Shanghai) in order to show them the mythical places and numerous shops of the district and to present the Committee's actions.

After a moment of exchange at the Town Hall of the 6th arrondissement and awareness by each of the Committees of the shared affinities and values, a memorandum of understanding was concluded for a signature of cooperation between the two Committees in Shanghai.

简 介

Presentation of the International Exhibition of Shop Window Photos of Twinned Streets 2011

在淮海中路商业街110周年国际商业论坛上,卢湾区商业联合会、淮海路经济发展促进会、卢湾区旅游协会与圣日尔曼大街管理委员会和东京表参道管理委员会结为友好。

During the International Trade Forum celebrating the 110th Anniversary of the foundation of Shanghai Huai Hai Lu Street, the Luwan District Trade Federation, the Huai Hai Lu Committee, the Luwan District Tourism Association, the French Saint Germain des Prés Committee of Paris and the Japanese Omotesando Committee of Tokyo established a relationship of exchange and friendship.

Shanghai's Hai Hai Lu, Paris' Boulevard Saint Germain des Prés and Tokyo's Omotesando Street are three dynamic shopping streets with a concentration of fashion businesses. The theme of raising the quality of life, creating a pleasant shopping environment and guiding fashion trends are the common theme of their development. It is precisely the shop windows that generally convey the meaning of the theme. For this reason, we have chosen the shop windows of these three shopping streets as exchange niches, with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and learning from each other's experiences.
